For all those 1080ti Vs 2080 questions

Interesting read.

Though I would have thought that it's pretty much saying what a lot of folks (including me) have been banging on about.

I'm personally quite happy with my new 1080 TI at 1440P / 144hz G-sync. I'll just sit back and see how widely (and soon) all the new RTX features are adopted (or otherwise), give this new gen a miss and take a look at the next generation to come.

It's all good fun... at times it looks to me that some folks loose sight of this :)

With a 1080Ti the only upgrade IMO is a 2080Ti. From the benchmarks of the couple of games I play
mainly it's really not worth the extra ££s so I'll keep what I have.

It's a new definition of want now.

I use to say I neeeeed this new card, knowing it's a want.

Now there is no way I could sell it to myself. I just think of my pension with 40% tax break lol!

Hopefully in 3 years time the 4080ti will be in the 750£ range again.

Plus the FPS differences are minuscule. And dlss gives great benefits...but don't we have gsync to solve these problems.

ROTR looks amazing with everything maxed and gsync makes the lows of 45 buttery smooth.
