Just seen in the Day Z thread that GOG are selling Arma 2 + Combined Operations for £10

For anyone that was put off by the full £25 price, they this is a chance to pick it up on the cheap. Between Day Z mod, Wasteland, ACE and a whole load of other missions, mods that can be played. It really is a bargain.

I thought WarZ was the cheap knock-off of DayZ? Plus ArmA2 is a game worth having IMO.

That is a great price for Arma + OA, it has so many extra missions etc to download you could play it all year and always have something new to play.

warz is shocking, it takes away all the hardcore/interesting elements of dayz and turns it into some plastic cheap looking pile of poo.

We have an ACE/ACRE Domi and insurgency server. Busy most evenings but certainly hop by on a weekend. Does require ACE/ACRE + TS3.

We also have mod servers but those require 3-4GB of mods (mostly maps) for custom missions. But yeah for some insurgency on say.. fallujah or zargabad or lingor etc. Hop along if you're a team player

Not sure which but I remember playing the odd mission with Frankie and Duckee, little annoying when the AI have the ability to shoot you with pinpoint accuracy once spotted.

Escape from Chernarus mission was damn good fun though.

Noob to OCUK but I would join in on some ArmA2 MP Love, use to play with the RPS lot but when its 40mins-1hour planning & getting organised and 20min missions you kinda get fed up.

Just need BT to get their act together and install my broadband

Fire a mission onto the second server mate!

Maximum twenty players as a start so not to mess with main server!

TBH I prefer CO-OP missions, where at least 10 of us act as a group!

so does everyones first post on a forum = the reason they registered ? amazing logic mate, you really thought that one through well didn't you, especially as it takes about a day or two to get your account authorised by mods.

and arma 2 is a massive dullfest for boring military nerds, dayz actually has a slightly interesting concept.

zombie apocalypse - interesting
military simulation - zzzzzzz

I've been on arma 2 servers, its full of the most boring people in the world... all talking in military speak to each other and being overly serious, tragic on many levels.

except the arma 2 community is literally the biggest collection of poin dexters ever, just go on their forums... full of people having 100 page debates about gun ballistics.
