As title really.

Am about to order the above speakers for games, music and the odd film but when discussing them, someone will nearly allways say "Booo.. get a seperate amp and speakers".

For £200 - Is there a better 5.1 set?

Are they worth £200 compared to their quality?

Well a good 5.1 set of speakers worths £200 easily since i made the jump from an okish to a good 5.1 and i think that was the best money i have spent since you shall appreciate the difference in sound quality given you have a good soundcard and the fact that they will not loose their value as other parts in your PC that you have to change frequently to keep up to date.

I have taken delivery of some Logitech Z-5500's, I've set them up and I am VERY impressed with the quality of the sound.

Excellent optical sound processing of both Dolby Digital and also DTS, they sound truely AMAZING!

Well worth the money in my opinion and a lot more compact that a seperate 5.1 amp and speaker setup.

Also the control pod is excellent and the fact that it is remote controlled leads to an even more chilled out listening experience :D
