im writing on behalf of my brother....

due to an electric storm, his machine was fried :D and he is in the process of buying a new cpu..
the psu is fried but i have a found a replacement in your shop :D
and also looking for mobo but he wont get rid of my gfx agp gainward 7800gs+ limited edition<2 months old > so i need a compatible board but he is find it harding to get a compatible mobo but i have seen a few ,one was a msi neo 2 plat any chance you got any compatable mobos but not any asrock brands please much apreited thanks ,

he has been looking at your range of x2 cpu's and finding it difficult to understand why some cpu clock rate are lower than others [his fried cpu is a prescott 478 3ghz hyper] he not overclocking so he been looking at mainly a 4400 or the 4600 but both have different cache sizes so he would like to know the best non o/c speed and performace between the two.

the memory he has is twinmos ddr400 cas 2.5-3-3-6 which he 4x 512mb which will run on 2 t how much of a performance hit would it be remembering he not thinking of overclocking thanks

this was also due to lightning but mine took three days to die bit odd

now its for me :) my pc cpu died this morning it was a opteron 146 @ 2700 on 300bus with my it running at 1/1 with cpu and ram which is ddr600 so i would like to now also which cpu also would be better my choice would be the 4800 x2 but ive seen a few threads on here that say again it as you wont see the clocks for what you pay ...i would mind a cpu that can clock over 3ghz :)

and also i dont know but i think my mobo been slighly damaged i now that one usb slot has dissapeared [wont detect] so im wondering if you have the latest lanparty ut expert venus in?

anyway thanks

if anyone else has something to say please do more the merrier :D

:)

This you will find second hand Guaranteed and your looking @ £150-170.

ps. tell your brother to go for a Conroe Setup & Sorry for Butting in.

I know you said no Asrock mobos but the VSTA-DUAL mobo is exactly what you're looking for. Support for DD1 400mhz memory, AGP and PCI-e slots for your graphics card, support for any 775 socket CPU including Conroe. It also comes with 4 PCI slots that I know I needed for my upgrade and 2 IDE slots for your older harddrives.

You can't find it on OCUK though so you'll have to look elsewhere.

thought ill go crossfire but cant find a x1800xt crossfire edition card unless i buy a x1900 and keep this one in and use it in single card mode till i can get another x1900 mastercard

the saphire crossfire has only one 1 pci and if you use two gfx cards there none available due to the card overlaping the pci slot so im now looking at the DFI LanParty UT CFX3200-DR RD580 Crossfire as id prefer to stay with dfi and a x2 4800+

so with that setup and my ddr600 what speed would you guess i get ? should be above 2700 i guess?

:)
