Hey people, don't post in here often.

For my 18th On July 19th mums said i can have a new tv, i only have a crappy Portable TV/VCR Combo thingy atm, and the scart plug barely works,

And now i've been thinking about a new TV for awhile and mums said i can have a new LCD :D

Budget not more than 1000

Must have 2 scarts and an optical out port on there, a VGA port would be nice along with S-Video

Now as far as size goes if i get a 26" one i'll double check the dimensions but should fit within my unit snugly. Or if i has a 32" one it needs to be wall mountable also i want a HD one for the Xbox 360 etc.

And would like some suggestions please.

Thanks people.

You won't find a TV with an optical output on it, not sure why you'd want one as it's pointless hence TV's not having them.

For £1000 you really want to to be going for 32".

Sony KDL32S2010U
Samsung LE32R74BDX
Toshiba 32WL66 & 32WLT66

Those are just few great sets within your price range. Best place to ask is AVForums. ;)

lol i thought i needed one to connect it to my amp, but realised that my sky box connects to the amp anyway and so does the xbox 360

DOH! :p

now i havent read up on the above ones yet but are they wall mountable?

As far as I'm aware, most modern LCD's are wall moutable. You just need to get the right VESA bracket. ;)

my advice would be to go for a Hyundai ImageQuest A321/Q321, they can be had for £600 and seems to be a very good buy! have a look on avforums, plnety of happy owners and with the £400 left over get a decent cinema set up and decent dvd player

My mate has this TV and it is absolutly terrible for Xbox 360. The ghosting is ridiculous and gave us all headaches, apart from that its great...
