For people that buy games online(or other things too)

Aye tis a goodun, unfortunately my games etailer doesn't support quidco for preorders so i don't get as much as i used to from it. Think i saved around £100 last year thanks to it.

they get a referrer fee for purchses made after going from their website, some of that fee is given to you and a percentage is kept by the site

Not quite right - quidco give you all the referrer fee, but they charge you £5 a year for using their service. However, the £5 comes from your balance, rather than you having to pay in £5 to use it.

how does this website work?

I've been using Quidco for a couple of years now. Basically you get the referall fee for visiting a site and making a purchase through their site. For example, if OcUK were on it you'd log in to Quidco, click the link to OcUK which would bounce you to the homepage, you'd make a purchase and then a fixed percentage of that purchase will be added to your Quidco account.

Different companies give different percentages. The first £5 you make every year gets taken as a membership fee, but if you don't make £5 in a year they don't charge you. It can also take a few months to go from your order to getting the money, so don't be impatient!
