For Sale: Newcastle

Sky are reporting that Ashley has given an interview in tomorrows Times(?) where he's admitted to putting Newcastle back up for sale for just £100m. From what i caught it's down to him losing money over the last year or so.

Prior to this I thought Newcastle would have been fine tbh. I would have thought it would have been in Ashley's interests to spend a bit of money to try and take Newcastle straight back up and if he still wants to, sell then.

As it is now, they could be in huge trouble. Even if they can find buyers for some of their top earners, they're going to end up paying for their wages for a couple of seasons.

Just noticed that Ashley is no longer selling Newcastle (again) and that he plans to invest more money in the club. Interestingly, in the statement it mentions that they welcome offers for stadium naming rights.

Oh and Hughton has been appointed manager full-time.
