See I have only seen him in the G3 DVD but something about smashing up your guitar just isn't "rock" any more. There are starving ethiopians that could have had that :p

Heh the guy who designed that site has also designed Jordan Rudess of Dream Theater's new website, he also animated the 'Octavarium' animation they play during the song of the same name when they play live.

I'm not sure if the site designer actually plays the clips but he's got some damn tasty licks aswell! Sort of a mix between Vai and Van Halen.

Actually shredding was first introduced by the one and only Ollie Halsall.. Try the song *Blue* from the Kevin Ayers album *yes we have no mananas*.. Mark Warner from Quantum Jump on *No america starship* from the epnonymous titled album was also up to it before Eddie... and Eddie copied his tapping technique from the Genesis guitarist... Steve Hackett..Something he quite openly acknolwedges
