For XFi products, do you need to install Audio Driver AND Console Launcher software?

Hi Guys,

This may seem like a strange or stupid question, but when I have installed both the files noted above I have had sound card issues.

Which leads me to wonder : Does the console launcher act as the driver aswell? Or do I need to install both of them?

I thought the issues I was having could have been due to two versions of the drivers being installed over one another..

In other words, Does the Console Launcher package contain the audio drivers?

The console launcher package contains the more graphical version of the control panel (also contains some options the regular control panel doesn't), plus the 'volume panel' application that sits in the tray and lets you change modes/settings more quickly.

You only really need it if you have a surround sound setup, otherwise the standalone driver package with basic audio control panel is all you need.
