Is real-time/realistic Force Feedback used in games? I remember the Microsoft Forcefeed back joystick in a high street retailer, a great idea if used properly. But games support was non existant and it died out :( for example in a Flight Sim or driving game it snaps back if you hit turbulance or a kerb.

I use an XBox 360 pad.

Pretty much every recent game supports it. Gears of War, Prince of Persia - The Two Thrones, Colin McRae: Dirt,Test Drive Unlimited all work superbly.

Well worth the £15!

Thats just basic rumble though, not really the same as proper force feedback where the wheel/joystick will try to resist your movement.

How did you get TDU working properly? No rumble support here. Not that many racing games do tbh. Though admittedly DiRT does.

Using Vista x64 Ultimate operating system and an Xbox 360 pad. Just installed the drivers. Connected the pad. Updated the drivers (for the pad) and job done.

Now every time I play it vibrates!

interesting, was that with drivers via windows update or from a website?

had the g25 which kinda broke twice ... but till it breaks its pretty good, absolutely amazing use of 2 motors.

im waiting for my fanatec one to come any time this month, also im thinking of investing in a ffb joystick there is a small program to convert a ffb joystick in to a ffb gear stick !!

Is that the Porsche wheel? I like the look of that. Is it meant to be better than the G25?

i will let you know about that..

this one will be belt driven with 3 motors instead of 2, 2 for vibration (dont know why 2 will be better..., and one for propper force feedback), belt driven will mean considerably quiter operation, but i wont know by how much until i test it my self.

the rest of the spec is pretty much the same as the g25, apart from the fact that the pedals are wireless.

feature wise, the gearstick will apparently no longer clanky and wierd feeling like the g25 one( also will feel like a porsche gearstick) , and the thing will be a replica of the porsche 911. it will have more buttons on the wheel and none of the shifter, and like the g25 it is compat with the ps2 and 3, and for users without tables, it come with a curved flap so you can play it with the unit on your laps.
