I've got automatic updates on but all I'm getting is the shield coming up every day close to start up and most of the time it disappears with 0% showing.

I thought it was just checking slow and wasn't finding anything, but today before it went up it came up 10%. I've had a look at the site and it's checked and found about 10 items I'm missing. The report says the first item has downloaded and is ready to install.

Should I install these from the site rather than waiting for the automatic process to do it? Will it screw anything up if the automatic has partially downloaded some of the updates already?

This is what it says I'm missing

I have auto updates switched off and download from the main site all the time with no problems at all.
It will instal and scan to see what you have already so don't worry.
Get updated dude Now.

Cheers fella, shortly after I posted it prompted a restart but had only managed to install one of the updates, so I did the express install and all, touch wood, seems fine.
