is there any way to force vsync in the original crysis. i purchased it the other day and it looks awesome, but i get imense screen tearing, which i get in pretty much every game, until i turn on vsync and the the problem goes. thing is, i cant see that option in crysis anywere :(

Download Rivatuner from here : http://www.guru3d.com/index.php?page=rivatuner

Then use D3DOverider, it forces vsync on in games. Has worked whenever any ingame vsync hasn't for me :)

cheers for that, i have litterally given up on crysis, everything ran smooth for the 2 minutes i played it with everything set to max, apart from imense screen tearing. admitidly i hadnt got to any parts where anything happened, so im sure max would have been too high, on its self optimization it sets everything to high. i know crysis is demanding, but does high sound about right @ 1920x1080?

If you're using the 1.1 Patch or later, it can be enabled in the in-game menus.

If not create a file named autoexec.cfg inside the crysis folder, with the following lines:
Code:
d3d9_TripleBuffering 1
r_VSync 1
