Next week Nvidia will officially release the GeForce 8800 GT and of course, such an event deserves a new driver, just to make everything work smooth. The Green Graphics Goblin of Santa Clara has been working hard on a new version to compliment the 8800 GT and that version of its ForceWare series is the 167.26.

This driver has been used for most if not all of the leaked results of the GeForce 8800 GT and now everyone can use it. The leak includes the versions for the 32bit Windows XP and Vista, both drivers being dated on 10/09/07. These beta drivers support the GeForce 6, 7 and 8 series cards and include the following line:

%NVIDIA_G92.DEV_0611.1% = nv4_NV3x, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0611

To get the ForceWare 167.26 drivers from our uber-fast servers click on the links below:

- ForceWare 167.26 Beta (Windows XP 32bit)
- ForceWare 167.26 Beta (Windows Vista 32bit)

Please remember this is still beta so problems are likely to occur.

Im gona give em a try.

Cheers for the heads up. :)

8800 GT will be up on Monday to buy no doubt, im presuming its a hard launch, so around 1-2pm they'll probably appear as is the norm.

EDIT: After reading the thread over at Guru, im gona give em a miss, everyones reporting flashing textures in TF2, and BSOD's galore in plenty of games. :p
