Forceware 173.90 Beta Vista 32bit

I'll wait until they pop up on Nvidia's site. I'm getting sick of drivers coming out every week...there's no difference. We may as well wait for the final version from Nvidia.

This is REALLY frustrating  No Vista64bit

Loadsa, dont you do ANYTHING else apart from browse the net? Might aswell call you the master crawler lol :p

Too many leaked ones arouind at the moment, nothing from Nvidia for over five weeks, I will pass on these and wait for something from Nvidia.

What unofficial betas, some in zip files, version numbers going up and down each day, no release notes, you are welcome to them.

Your welcome to wait for Nvidia to decide to put some new ones up then, as they aint put any up since last year, been ziltch from em this year, and were heading into March.:p

They'll eventually say, ahh well we better get some drivers up i suppose, and they'll stick one of these old sets up, and everyone will be saying wtf, 171's/173's, were on the ******* 178's now. :D

Just because Nvidia ain't put them up on their site, does not mean they are not their drivers, you can get their drivers from loads of sites, it doesn't matter, they are still Nvidia's drivers, theres just no point waiting for them to stick the same drivers up on their site in 2010 when you could be using them now, no point at all.

Well you're the one stuck on old drivers then are you not? I know that these beta ones have deffenitly increased performance :).

If it wasnt for people testing them, how would they know about certain bugs etc.... you have to use them to help improve them on their final release.

I bet the next set Nvidia eventually stick up will be another 169 series set, but no point getting em, as the 169 series drivers are old now, they finished, long gone them, everyones onto the 171's/173's now, and the 174's are on their way now as well, people like to keep up to date by using the latest drivers. :)

I’m happy with the ones I’m running and am not interested in minute performance gains. I had a 0.3% increase in a benchmark with a recant leaked driver and would not call that significant?

As to performance, how do you measure it? Multiple runs of 3DMark06 or some other method?

What, how do you carry out a beta program on leaked drivers where version numbers go up and down everyday. How would Nvidia collate this kind of feedback into something meaningful?
