Just installed, I haven't tried any games yet and I don't think the CP is working for me (like many others) but nevermind. The old one is still good, and I've quickly ran 3DMark06 and got a boost of 65 points. :) So they seem nice and quick.

update - NFS:MW played and looked fine. :)

naffa: The x64 drivers normally come out within a day or two after the 32bit ones have.

I think the new control panel may only work with the default winxp themes as that was the problem people were having when nVidia attempted the new control panel a couple of months back. I'm not using these btw so only guessing ;)

Whats exactly 'new' in this supposedly new driver controll pannle? I dont see anything, or am i just havng a blonde moment.

If you right click your desktop there is a new entry for Nvidia Control Panel which should open a new "fancier" window instead of that normal one in Display Properties.

^ oh ok thanks m8.

One issue that I did find after installing these drivers, is that when logging on to my user area it takes 10x the normal time it should take. So ive just reverted back to the previous drivers 83.20 and the jobs a *** 'un.

Whats the current "best" forceware drivers (I've got a leadtek 7800GTX running with an x2 4400 cpu)? Guru has several versions newer than the nvidia website. I'm currently on 81.95, and I get flickering trees in B&W2 and the odd shimmer in other games... ati tool reports no artifacts tho (admittidly I dont know much about gfx cards - I just like nice fast image quality.)
