Forceware X 100.30 is out

Just installed these on my 7900GTO using the modded .INF supplied on that site.

Been waiting for these drivers for ages. Now vista runs much quicker. Just about to install 3Dmark 06.

1440x900 Support!!! :D ;)

EDIT : Just installed and ran 3DMark, scored almost the same @stock as I did in Windows XP. So far so good. Vista runs so much smoother, really enjoying it now.

Thanks for the heads up on the Creative sound card drivers too, they work like a treat ;)

Anyone notice that the fan is ramping up on the 8800GTX while running games in vista?

I was trying to run Eve last night and never managed to get past the character selection page. I think I was sat in this mode for about 5 mins and I noticed the fan starting to ramp up to maximum. The Char selection page pretty much does nothing so I'm not sure what would have been stressing the card so much.

32bit, i like my games so 64bit out of the question.

this is intresting, I'm soon to be upgrading to vista, what i'm wondering is does the it stress the gpu more on the desktop compared to XP, can anyone check this ?
 
Some do, some don't. It's a bit tempermental. I couldn't get BF2 or BF2142 to work, while EVE online worked flawlessly, if a bit low on FPS thanks to being in Windowed mode.
 
Scratch what I said previously - it's the drivers not the game. The drivers are basically throwing a hissy fit where dual screens is concerned. Note the lack of a 'Horizontal Span' option, that 'dualview' gives me 20FPS, and single display or clone gives me 60.

It's still pretty bad compared to what it was, but I dare say these drivers have a LONG way to go in terms of optimization.
