I have my screen set to turn off after 10mins of it being idel, but when I watch stuff with bsplayer or tv using the tv card, it should keep the dispay on, but it dosent. So is there anyway to force the display to stay on when running these 2 things?

Control Panel -> Power Options -> Click Change Plan Settings on balanced -> change turn of display from the default 20mins to Never.
Should sort you out. Also change the settings in the screen saver option.
Its because you are leaving the machine as idle, even if you have a process running.

Im doing that at the moment, but its a pain to keep changing it all the time
