Forcing Refresh Rate - ATI/Vista?

Sorry. I think you misunderstood.

Not all games will natively run at your maximum refresh rate, THEREFORE, the ATI driver software had an option to FORCE all directx apps to run at a your own specified refresh rate, that being your monitors maximum supported refresh rate.

I would use ATI Tray tools but I dont believe that exists for Vista x64 yet :(

Thanks marc2003.

Thats charming :)

The "Force" option in DirectX10 is not present which you could use in DX9 to manually set a refresh rate.

I think it might be a DX10 issue specifically :(. Seems a step backwards though?

I'm sure I did see that option in Vista's ATI Catalyst Control panel, but it doesn't appear now. That could be because it was in a previous version (7.2?) or because I have just changed my monitor.
