Forcing to google to review a site

Hi All

Our practice has recently moved address to a new building. However when a google search is done it is still showing the old address.

Just wondering how I can force google to re-index / review the site, so that it picks up the new address , or can I inform google directly ?

Do you use webmaster tools with your site?

If you don't sign up to it. Google, webmaster tools.

Submitting a sitemap for your site to that system will increase Google bot chances of re-indexing the content.

Google Webmaster Tools + Sitemap is a good start.

You can generate a sitemap using XML-Sitemaps.com - upload it to the root of your domain, i.e. http://www.example.com/sitemap.xml

Then ping it to Google (probably unneeded if you use webmaster tools)
www.google.com/webmasters/tools/ping?sitemap=http://www.example.com/sitemap.xml

Google do have an "add your site to Google" form too. But I don't think its hooked up to anything. I reckon its a big placebo. Rumours say you can get Google to index/re-index quickly from it..

Basically.. Google's bot calmly strolls the internet like Shaft.. and if he don't want to pimp your site.. well.. Shaft!
