Forcing Windows to release a file (to delete etc...)

Can anyone remind me of the name of that nifty little programme that adds a shell option to windows to stop any programmes that are using a file so you can delete/rename it etc...?

Ouch - the latest version appears to be infected with Win32/Adware.ADON (eset NOD32) - gone back to an earlier version and it seems fine

I'd have a stab at it being a false-positive as that latest 1.8.8 has been on FileHippo for well over 12 months and they are usually quite keen on taking down infected files

That's where I got it from and Nod32 threw a hissy fit - oh well - went back and grabbed 1.8.0 and it's fine - will submit to Eset and see if they de-flag it :eek:

That's funny. I was looking for something like this to remove a folder that's been annoying me for days!

I install this to potentially remove it finally, go to remove it and it's gone
