So my 2010 Mondeo Econetic has this 6000 CD radio which can do bluetooth handsfree, which is nice. Up until now I've had my work Nokia 6303 paired with the Ford Audio, and my personal Nokia N900 in a nice little windscreen mount hooked up to the analogue line-in for music and satnav.

I've now relegated the N900 to work phone duties, but still want to use it for music and satnav. Problem is if I enable bluetooth and pair it with Ford Audio then as soon as it detects the car in range, the media player starts sending the music over bluetooth instead of the headphone socket. The car ignores this and I get silence.

Is there any way to tell the 6000CD to use bluetooth as an audio source?

Bumping this thread as I just bought myself an 09 Focus with the 6000CD and have the same issue - Pairs for calls just fine but cant work out how to do music as well via my android phone.

It's not the headunit as such that allows BT audio, it's the BT unit which controls BT connections to your phone. On the current mondeos (2007 - ) the BT unit doesn't support BT audio playback it just allows phone calls etc.

The new focus has the BT unit that allows playback from BT sources and by all accounts it's pretty good. Hope so as I'm about to order a titanium x with all the extra toys :)

I did try Aux but no joy, I suspect mine doesn't do media audio. I have a Jabra cruiser which does phone + media control so its not a problem - just would have been nice if the radio could handle it all. ah well thanks for the replies
