2nd hand stuff doesn’t define the market…

Strange? Are you for real? It looks like one and the interior is more like a polestar in the sense it’s the explorer kit lifted to MEB with the portrait screen and a couple of switchpackes doesn’t mean it’s all from ID range.
Not sure what you mean about the Explorer as the 2024 version is based also on the meb platform and aside from the steering wheel the Capri's interior is Explorer..

Jack Scarlet from Fully Charged was pretty critical of the Explorer which doesn’t bode well for the Capri either.

That in itself is interesting because Fully Charged is the place to go if you want a pretty positive review of your EV.

His review can be summarised as:
‘its fine but it excels at nothing and there are better cars at this price point’

The infotainment is ‘not great’

‘all the stuff that really annoyed me in the ID.4 is carried over here, it’s still really annoying’

I don't mind that at all tbh, the wheels are the worst part but the rest of the car looks quite smart, regardless of what it's called.

Until we reach a corner and unless you've got a couple of hundredweight of cement in the boot, I'm going straight past ;)

I ran Southampton to Aberdeen on a 2 week cycle all through the winter of 1978/79 and apart from an unfortunate donut in Edinburgh and following lorry tracks i ran across the central reserve on the A90 in the snow it all went very well.
Seriously it was light on the tail and I borrowed an ice shovel from the fish quays which was carried in the boot along with some emergency gear.

Anyway my comment was in jest and most modern front wheel drive cars would track better round corners. Without opposite lock drifts a la Senna that is. :D

Am I the only one that actually thinks the original Capri was a bit crap?

For me it was the mk2 Escort i found was crap or at lest very boring to drive as i owned 2 of them back in the 80's
Maybe the MK2 Escort was great fun if you had something like a cosworth engine in it, But with the standard 1.3L motor you were lucky not to fall asleep while driving one

A female friend at the time owned the faster 2.0ltr mk2 RS2000 escort but i never drove it
