Ford Fiesta (R Reg) Question

Hi,

This is a bit of a cheeky question and before anyone says it I have been googling. What I need to know is anyone able to tell me what sort of common faults/issues these cars may have. As my friend has asked me to go look at a car with him and neither of us know what we should really be looking out for.

Water/dampness in the passenger footwell. Often attributed to a pollen filter needing replaced, but can be the bulkhead seal issue affecting a lot of those cars.
Heater blower stuck on hot or cold - simple replacement of the coolant valve.
1.3 endura will be a noisey tappet monster, but very reliable.
1.25 is a great engine, bit can be prone to oil starvation - check the service history for evidence of frequent oil changes.
1.4 is a reasonable engine, but far more likely to suffer oil starvation.

fiestas rust very badly, check the bodywork very carefully.

Mk1-3's did, but 4> is a lot better.

get the 1.25... avoid the rest.
