Ford Fiesta/Verve 2008

It looks a tad on the large side! Why do all car manufacturers these days insist on scaling up or down the same design for all their cars? What's wrong with a bit of creativity in the design? *sigh*

Its not really much bigger than the current model (which itself was quite a bit bigger than the previous generation). All cars are scaling up somewhat as all the extra safety equipment means either less internal space or larger cars. But they've got a new panda based ka out soon as well, which will fill the niche of what the old fiestas filled.
 
Its a shame nobody does rx8 style back doors on a supermini - easy to get people/shopping in or out of the back for occasional use, and full sized front doors. I assume the lack of a B pillar would make the car more expensive though (by using more design and material intensive methods to maintain rigidity and strength)
 
Oh look, it's got the exact same rear quarter windows as the new: Hyundai, Kia, Subaru, Seat etc etc, so will be indistinguishable from them all when viewing a line of them in a car park!
