Picked up one of these (brand new) on Saturday. It's a 1.25L with most the extras (bluetooth, tech pack etc etc).

I work in the city, I have a yearly travelcard and it's only a weekend run around having come from owning a insanely modified (funny I know) 206 and then a 3 series and so I wanted something really simple. Could have went the whole hog and got a "fast" car but I have no point if I am going to use about 5000 miles a year and use it maybe once a week.

I really like the car. Nice to drive around town. Does anyone know of good owners club?

Not going to do anything to it, had the whole modding experience/nightmare with the 206.

There's ZSOC.com which is more for the 'S' variant but I'm sure they'll make you feel welcome.

Is this the one with the voice activated sound system and stuff? Someone was telling me the other day that her friend sounds like a moron trying to choose a song becuse you have to speak so slowly for it to recognise you :D

ukfn is your best bet for a suitable forum. lots of other mk6s on there. :)

great cars, if your happy buying new then so let it be. :)

Yeah, it's alright but more a novelty. To change the station you need to say RADIO then wait for a prompt then AM then another prompt "909".

The main idea of the car was something small, practical and economical, as I live in London. I could go and buy a BMW, Audi etc, but what's the point if I am not driving regulary...save the money for property.

Thanks for that. I got a bit of grief for buying new, but I wanted a new car. I had so many probs with used cars before that I would just rather get it brand new. 206 (before modding) was an endless cashpot....don't want hassles of MOT, things going wrong etc because this will be sold in a few years and then I may get a "Performance" motor ;)
