Ford Focus EMS Lights Issue

Hello all, just trying here before I sink any more money into trying to get to the bottom of this, hoping someone may have experienced it before

last few weeks my 07 Focus has intermittently flagged up "Engine Systems Failure", "Transmission Failure" and "Reduced Acceleration"

Everytime same issue, switch the engine off, start it again - fine and will not do it again for maybe a few days maybe a week but inevitably does it again.

First thing I would check is the battery and the alternator.

Need to get it plugged in.

Sounds like a sensor.

It is amazing what a low battery can cause on modern cars. My mondeo was flashing up traction control errors and hill start malfunction for ages, that was a low battery. I plugged it in and found some battery low warnings so stuck it on a charger overnight. Had no problems since.

As said check the battery.

These do suffer with instrument cluster problems too.

Download forscan lite on android.

Use a BT OBD reader.

Scan the car.

Forscan is pretty much the best apart from fords or Mazda's own equipment.
