Ford Focus - indicators don't flash when I unlock my car?

Hi all,

Got a 2002 Ford Focus Zetec - ALL of the electricals work completely fine, and all my ambers flash when I lock my car. However, when I unlock it, the only light that comes on is the cabin light; no ambers! My brother has an 04 Focus and his does, so I'm assuming something's wrong with my car! Can anyone tell me where to start? Did a quick google, but failed to find anything

is your brothers a ghia/st/rs ?

they normally dont flash on unlock

has your brother got an aftermarket alarm fitted?

fairly sure mine doesnt flash on unlock... 01 Zetec.

fiesta 03, doesnt flash on unlock... i dont think anything is broken

02 Focus does not flash on unlock, think it only does it for deadlock but maybe for normal lock as well.

It's one of those silly little things you miss, even my mates clio would flash on unlock but poor focus did nothing.

Same on my 2001 mondeo.

Flash or not, I don't mind either but no thanks to some crazy flashing especially on some french cars!

my ambers come on when i unlock mine.....but they come on solid for about a second.

My 01 Focus flashes on unlock.

My '02 focus doesn't flash on unlock either
