Ford Focus styling help

something like that has (in theory) a measurable improvement, at the very least it ought to feel quicker

my next £50 mod ought to be a lightened flywheel. an improvement in how the car drives

£50 on foglights? to impress other yoofs down mackie dees?

I knew someone had to ruin the thread eventually.

sorry but no mcdonalds chavs have focus's. if he can't afford to insure/run a proper ST least he can do is make the 1.6 look like an ST :p

Yeah, he's really overdone it by installing the completely standard subtle styling upgrades from a higher trim level. That's exactly like the barry boys who cruise around in Corsas with polyfiller bodykits, chrome spinning alloy wheels, louvred bonnets and wings which could put a 747 to shame. What an excellent comparison.

He gains a car he loves the look of. Everything he has done is subtle and OEM+. It's a great way to mod a car.

Precisely, the emphasis being on subtle and OEM.

Shame some tool had to ruin the thread, I'm not trying to make my Focus something that it isn't and I don't appreciate being labeled a 'chav' I'm actually quite the opposite.

The ST mods just happen to make it look much more attractive so that is why I have put a few on.

If I wanted to make it something that is isn't don't you think I'd of put the ST170 badge on aswell ;)

Nah put a Mondeo ST220 badge on it :p

I don't really like the look of the mk1.5s (prefer mk1s but I do like your mods.

Only cos I like ST170s. :p

How much is a remap then? 115 to 145 you say?

Didn't think that's worth it on a petrol engine as there isn't a lot of gain to be had?

What would a Zetec 130 be increased to? 160?

Nah that's the diesel Peter.

If I had a remap I'd only gain 10BHP or so. With a few mods it's fairly easy to get to 130BHP though :)

mine was a tdci they're easy to tune

petrol focus's arn't so easy, theres little mods here and there but little gains.

why go as far as to spend £50 on foglights? they have no real use 360 days of the year unless you drive about with them on which makes oyu a chav, and if you dont, what was the point in adding them?

youre not trying to make your focus something it isnt, but youve stuck pretty much a complete st170 bodykit and wheels on it. leaving the suspension standard just makes it stand out as a dressed up lower range car, the same thing that will get the urine ripped out of it when someone sees a 318 with M3 badges and bumpers

Becuase even when turned off, they look nice. And its only 50 quid.

Who cares? He thinks it looks nice, he hasnt badged it up as something it isnt, so whats the problem?

if everyone thought like you halfords and ripspeed would'nt exist :p

i just dont understand changing something unless it does something

Because the uprated fogs are projectors and look nicer than the standard?

Who said I wasn't going to lower it?

No because they have put the M3 badge on and are thus trying to make it something it isn't, I have just put uprated parts on which make the Focus better to look at. I'm in no way trying to make it something it isn't and couldn't care less if people know it's a dressed up lower model.

Are the walls of your house either painted or wallpapered? Do you have any pictures on the walls?

the walls have wallpaper because thats how they were when i moved in. there are no pictures on the wall (ought to put up the kelly brooke calander i got at xmas though)

as for car cosmetics and me, i wash and polish mine (detail, if you prefer that sort of thing) but to stop/reduce the chances of the paint being ruined and to stop the car going rotten
