This is a driving experience half day by Ford, the premise being you’re shooting a movie and take the part of a stunt driver.
You do a J turn and some drifting in the Focus RS, and two runs of a slalom/gymkahana course in a Mustang. The times are revealed at the end of the day!
There are some other photo bits out of the cars and action shots as well, then back in the cars this time with video cameras for some pulling funny faces. It then gets stitched into a movie with a poster style photo for you starring you.
Booked it today online as there were discounts available, thought it was bloody good for the money, we paid £49 ea.
My wife and I both did the experience, with her having no track or fast car experience really, 150bhp cars the max she’s driven. The instructors had her doing the J turn after several practices and her lap went quite good & she loved the mustang.
The instructor I had just demonstrated then let me get on with it as I was capable, no holding you back.
The Mustang felt a bit heavy & large to me, perhaps a little slow to rev when trying to deliberately spin it (360 round a cone on the course). The RS was great.
We had a great time, the actors were good and the photos/videos were great too. I came third from about twenty in the driving challenge, half a second behind the winner.
It’s currently on at the Trafford Centre, if you can I’d go!
