Ford Radio Code...Anyone Help?

Am about to pass my wifes old escort (96) onto my mother.

I've taken out the Sony MD and CD Changer as they'll be of no benefit to my mum. I have the original stereo that was in the car when we bought it but lo and behold I don't have it's code!

The stereo is the Ford 5000 HU which is the Radio/Cassette one. Does anyone have access to these codes or is it a trip to the dealer to get the code?

Should have explained. I've looked in there and there is a code but the manual is referencing the 2000 range of stereos so I think that this isn't the original HU.

I think the default is all the 0's.
Don't try too many times though as i think they lock after a while.

There is no default, it'll have a proper code from the factory.

Some software on ebay for 99p, or if you have the nohow, you can download it.
