Morning all,
Quick question, as for the life of me i cannot find any concrete information on this, nor is MS's product page of any use at all. About all i can gather is that it does Anti-Spam.
What is Forefront for Exchange 2010?
- Is it a stand alone product? or does it need TMG?
- Does it have an AV built in?
- If its an AV, can it be installed on all Exch2010 servers or just the transports?

Thanks in advance all. :)

From what i could gather when i looked into it a while back, the Forefront for Exchange is all about scanning the mailstores and incoming/outgoing mail for virus, trojans, spam etc but you still need a seperate AV to actually cover the server/filesystem.

Never really though about where to install it, but a quick google seems to allow it on any/all. If you need something concrete i could try asking our MS account manager to see if he can shed any light on it?
