Did a quick search and couldn't find any recent threads on foreign film recommendations.

Any interest in non-English films from the fellow overclockers?

I've got some recommendations off the top of my head and in no particular order:
Infernal Affairs (2002) - Hong Kong
Amores Perros (2000) - Mexico
New World (2013) - Korea
Life Is Beautiful (1997) - Italy
Pan's Labyrinth (2006) - Spain
Ip Man (2008) - Hong Kong
Oldboy (2003) - Korea

According to the wife (french), half of the Amelie movie is lost in translation of the english soundtrack - there's so many plays on words etc in the french soundtrack.
I imagine this happens a lot when watching/reading translations. If only I knew all these other languages!

Sounds like you watched it with dubbing rather than subtitles? I've always preferred subtitles myself. Can't get used to the lip-sync mismatch when it's dubbed.

Yeah none that struck that chord so to speak.

From memory it was about a couple of teens and anarchy trying to fight the system etc. Think they set something on fire. There's a specific actor in it i can picture but can't think of the names of the other films he's been in either.

My memory sucks :(

EDIT - Found it. The Edukators

Ah, it has Daniel Brühl from Rush in it. RIP Niki Lauda.

I think I need to see the original 2010 Pointe blank - the remakes guardian review epitomises whats wrong with netflix - fast food .. you eat it and realise it did you no good.

also noted re Cold Blood, which I wont bother to see

messing up his wonderful legacy.

It's a pity that despite having running out of ideas for new content, film studios can't even be bothered to remake the classics properly. I definitely won't be watching these remakes, don't want to tarnish my views on the originals.

Speaking of Léon: The Professional, did anyone else prefer the theatrical cut over the director's cut?

Could some one recommend some Foreign Movies ?

I like the old jackie chan movies amour of the gods ect

Im a bit bored with the US movies and UK movies a lately
Most UK movies are boring bio's, and US is fixed on super heros.

I have seen have seen most of Jackie chan, jet li movies, I have also seen other like raid 1-2, IP man 1-2-3, crouching tiger, ong bak

I cant think of any good new chines actor as good as them so ive not really seen anything new

I've seen some Indian movies like PK but its only a one off that I descent.
seen a few Japaneses anime movies, nothing that sticks out

Not really seen anything outside them.

My recommendations would be the ones in the first post. Others have added theirs along the way.
