Anybody into foreign films? I'm really getting into Korean stuff, it's so inventive at times it makes Hollywood look like it's standing still with the relentless stream of remakes they keep belching out. Particular faves are Oldboy, Sympathy for Mr Vengeance (still waiting to see "...Lady Vengeance"), Save the Green Planet, Happiness of the Katakuris.

Although not Korean I like In the Mood For Love and 2046, looking forward to seeing some more Wong Kar-Wai stuff. Perhaps Cheungking Express will be my next purchase.

John Woo's old stuff is much better than what he has made since coming to Hollywood. Hard Boiled is a treat and so is The Killer. Still need to watch Bullet in the Head, I've had it on my shelf for ages now.

Anybody else like foregn films? Any recommendations?

Had a thread like this not so very long ago:

La Reine Margot
Farinelli
Les Visiteurs
Rashômon
Kagemusha
Ran
Battle Royale
Old Boy
Das Boot
Nochnoi Dozor

Won't go into anime or I could be here a while

Haven't seen it yet but thought Caché looked good too.
