Just a little discussion I want to bring back up. I don’t want to turn this into a flaming thread about foreigners but just a little experience I want to share with you guys.

Today after the gym, getting changed back to my normal close, my locker next to 3 polish guys. Minding my own business I begin putting on my top and I hear the 3 guys talking, and the more they talk the more they begin to make eye contact with me. So I just ignored them and got on with my business until one of the 3 guys walks past me and pretends to say something to his friends but I knew it was aimed at me because after that guy said something to me one of his friends began to smirk.

Now what I’m annoyed is that they have the guts to say something to me in polish and act like a right ***** and not say it in English to my face. I generally don’t have a thing against foreigner but as long as their law bidding, they change their ways to adapt to our society as they come to live and work here.
My girlfriend is Swedish and we’ve been together for over a year and there are some things I want her to change to make her fit in with the rest of the crowd, she’s been here for over 2 yrs and she’s slowly improving.

Anyway the reason why I made it thread is to share with you my experiences with foreigner people. Now I’m not saying that every Polish person is like that and there are many good people out there to make a honest living but the guts these guys have, really set me off and make me think that all Polish person should just bugger off back to their own country.

Now you say this is common and a French, German or even an India person who would do the same but for some reason I feel that Polish or these ‘poor’ countries where people come from should think twice how they act otherwise they will not make a good reputation about themselves.

If I hurt or upset any one in the process, my apologies but share with me your experience so you can open up my mind.

Just to check I'm not missing anything here. You think someone was being a nob and dissing you in the gym?

Maybe the guy was telling his mates you have a cute ass. However I will say that if you look down on people and say they come from "poor" countries etc you are doing yourself no favours and simply making yourself look like a bit of a snob.

//edit and to share my experiences - you can't generalise based on countries - I've met some exceptionally nice people from Poland/France/Germany/Austria/Italy/list any country in the World here and I've met some complete idiots who I wouldn't want to give the time of day to.
 
Lets say if they spoke in English, and was dissing you off, 3 vs 1. You think you would've started something?

If they weren't slagging you off, then what does it matter the way they look at you? It's not illegal.

Either way, no one broke the law, they got change, you got change. End of story.

How were they not "law bidding" by *possibly* laughing at you?

Seriously, get over it. Have you never had one of your mates take the ****? Or have you ever laughed at a stranger? I'm guessing you have.
 
Ive met quite a lot of people from other contries when at work (Working in retail). Yes they do have the language barrier. TBH they cant really help it, that is their native language. If you went to their country and said "that guy has a nice hat", they might take it as an insult because they dont understand you.
Not having a dig or anything but they are just like you and me, they come here to have a better life than what they had. If you see them again, why not say hi.
 
Damn chinamen in my flat here have no respect at all. Out of the terms in the 'tenancy agreement' they have broken every single one without batting an eyelid.

One even had the cheek to try and swap rooms with me without my knowing:

A few hours before I arrive here she does (she's 27 and doesnt know how to use an oven, hob or washing machine) so she peels of the room numbers and switches them. Acts all innocent and nice to my face when I'm trying to help her out with the cleaner who hates them for the disrespect they show the flat and the building supervisor who was furious with the chinese here for just flaunting all the rules.
They dont go to their language classes, they dont leave the flat, they invite all their mates around to trash the kitchen. They dont speak spanish, they dont speak english. Only Mandarino. They are so truly disgraceful and ill mannered that for the first time in my life I considered taking swift and brutal vengeance upon said savages. If you go into a small kitchen crowded with chinamen leering at you and laughing at you, making gestures and saying ***** (that one in their tongue) whilst enjoying the joke. They never say hello, they never ask for anything, they never say excuse me when barging past me. One of them is cruising for a serious kicking in the ovaries as he is this tubby little brat who walks around smoking in our flat which he shouldnt be in and in which smoking is not allowed (I have the common courtesy to go down 3 flights of stairs and outside for mine) said brat also was eating in the most vile manner in front of me when I was cooking. When I was cooking and them watching this brat leans over my pans and sniffs them. Then I see him eating some awful cut of grade Z meat with a bone in it. He just spits it on the floor and kicks it towards the bin. Im well over a foot taller than him and I gave him a glare and pointed at it. What did he do? Grinned, walked out the kitchen and started speaking in chinese to the other illegals. They apparently the 2 yes 2 chinese people who actually have any right to be here at all signed the agreement with an interpreter and fully understand. When said supervisor was shouting at them they just sit there nodding and grinning then say 'Glathiah' when she's finished having a go at them. They then start laughing. One of them who lives here when I was trying to explain to her what was happening and how she would lose her deposit comes out with 'porco dineeeeello' ie. I dont care I'm so rich I dont give a hoot about the others in this flat nor the money I will lose.
They are truly disgusting creatures with no manners or respect, my patience is at its last with them. Ive always been courteous and helpful to them but they are too ignorant to reciprocate basic manners. Great examples of ambassadors from the red country. Im sure many, many people where they are from would be shocked at them as well of chinese are normally quite courteous I've found, and certainly respectful. These people in this flat are an embarrassment to their nation quite frankly and if it weren't for my own [on the whole very pleasant] 1st hand experiences of their country and their culture I would simply write a racist rant on their people as a whole. However, I know they are from far far away and in a different culture with a new alphabet but I mean come on at least go to class to try and learn it! This is the reason I've not formally complained as I understand how hard it must be at first coming all the way here from China, but I'm shocked at their appauling demeanour, when I've usually only got good things to say about China and the Chinese.

I dont care if I've offended anyone here with this because I know Im not a racist and that the amount of offense and disrespect I've been caused by these particular specimens is enough cause to use pejorative terms in describing them.

Well if you were that bothered, should've said "what was that?". Doesn't have anything to do with foreigners, just some guys who happen to be foreign possibly being morons.

Why do anything alpha like that when you can sit and moan to a load of people on the internet after the event?
 
I think what i'm more annoyed is that i lost some of my dignaty of how those guys can talk down to me.

Just because they talk in a forrign language doesn't mean they have the right do say what they want and know they can get away with it. If someone did that to you wouldn't you be peeved off?

You don't actually know that they were talking down to you though, although the comment about him telling his mates you have a cute ass was flippant there is nothing to say that it wasn't what he was doing.

It does rather sound like you heard them talking and assumed it was about you, it might have been and it might not but since you don't speak the language you are merely guessing about it.
