Personaly though id have knocked up ajax for bryan roy, he's done well with the youth and ajax 2... once smart guy with a deep insight in to the game, class act.

I don't know how Roy would have managed a side in the Championship. However, he is one of my favourite ever Forest players. Absolute genius.

McLaren hasn't done much wrong on the club side of things, has he?

Not particularly no.

I think it's just because it's (relatively) a good while ago he had success with Boro and for most English folk, we just remember wally with a brolly.

He did very well at Twente too, though not so great at Wolfsburg.

As the day has worn on, I'm feeling more positive. It might breathe life into a few players like Earnshaw and perhaps McClaren can draw some good players to club. He's well linked after all.

He played some really negative football at Boro at times. Forest are very good attacking, let's hope he ruins them :D

**** off! :D

Billy didn't always play very attacking though. I felt we were a better attacking side in the 09/10 season.

i hated mclaren at boro because we where just truly awful to watch (probably not his fault judging by how he played twente and how awful we still played once he had gone) , cant fault him tactically , he got some very good results against some very good sides

I share the same thoughts as you syph.

I still think it was a bad decision to let billy go, I think he did wonders. When I herd it was Steve coming in I wasnt best pleased but thinking about it I think he will help a lot.

Forest wear red, so he'll do well. (joke shamelessly nicked off the fiver.)

He doesn't play particularly exciting football though, does he?

How long has McClaren got left?!

Too long, im hoping he gets run over tbh as he wont quit.

Sunday should be good, protests planned - get rid of Doughty "Ive saved the club but you owe me 60m" and his cronies.

I want to swear a lot in this post, im boiling at the club right now

Honestly mate, spouting on Doughty is the wrong way to go.

Life before the man you realy don't want to go back to, we nearly went to the wall. In this day and age we realy don't want to be without an owner that atleast bankrolls the club reguardless of futher policy.

The only thing, doughty wasn't realistic, it realy was Davies that took us to a level above, stevie allways had to hit the ground running to match up/

this has nothing to do with Billy Davies, to avoid becoming generic start a new thread if you want to cover the upcoming sacking
