Aliens vs Predator is officially the scariest game I've played. Frantically running through a vent hoping that you don't bump into an alien (even though you know that you will :D). I've only played it for a bit, but what an awesome game. I can't wait to get onto the Predator and Alien campaigns.

Do any of you agree?

The original AvP was amazing. It was also the first FPS that didn't give me motion sickness (unless I made the mistake of trying to play Alien) and the first FPS I played online. Always fun annoying the pred players by having high gamma settings and pulse rifle/grenading them :p

Yea, AvP was the only game where in some instances I genuinely didn't want to advance into a room and would simply back into a corner, tossing flares left and right.....and then just cower.

Playing it with the lights off and sound up for the win :D

Err I do think I bought that game.

I can remember climbing up ladders, steam everywhere that bloody radar going off and well...

I kieched it and never played it again! :o

Should really pick it up again! :D

I remember pooing myself when i first played the demo on my 300mhz PC or whatever i had. You always felt so much safer when you played the predator mode. Even as the alien I kind of felt exposed when I jumped down into the middle of a room fighting against the marines.

My brother said AVP2 was miles better but I never got to play it. I fear I'll load the game up and my eyes will bleed from the dodgy graphics.

The graphics aren't that noticeable as Marine - it's so dark the dodgy res textures aren't so apparent :)

AvP2 is far worse in multiplayer, though I hear the single player is relatively fun.

Ye forgot to mention he was talking about the singleplayer. I used to play AVP on Wireplay (i think) with mates from school. Those were the days

Yeah playing through AVP2 again and the graphics aren't that bad really, bit like playing on a ps2. It is quite scary though and the learning curve is steep.

Compared to the 1st one avp2 wasnt scary.

There was nothing better for atmosphere builder than the beeping of the motion sensor :D

I loved how it sent chills up your spine in anticipation for the up coming fight. :D

Was a good game and the first time you come face to face with an alien its genuinely scary. I think I bought both AvP and AvP2 and played both on and offline.

All I remember of those games is that they were hard ********! That and the time I played online with some yankee chump who was mouthing off because he was a geniune US Marine and that made him better than the rest of us...

I did that in the demo but without the flares. Backed up in the first room I went into and sat there with the thing beaping and me staring towards the entrance. I advanced a little firing widley towards the doorway to bait him out.

Then 5 metres, 4, 3...... WTF ......2..... 1.....

SCREACH

*Turn around, **** myself at alien behind me , then die*

Uninstalled and went back to worms. Me = pussy.

do any of these run ok on todays type pc or u need something else to make them run might give em a try.do they look bad as i played doom 1 not long ago and i couldnt believe how bad it looked :(

Hehehe avp2 might have been a better game, but in no way was it as scary as the first one.... even the demo on that one was too much for me... damn face huggers
