During lockdown i built the following pc.

Windows 10 home| USB | License
Corsair RM650, RM Series, 80 Plus Gold Certified, 650 W Fully Modular ATX Power Supply - Black
Fractal Design Meshify C - Compact Computer Case - High Performance
Gigabyte Z590 VISION G ATX Motherboard for Intel LGA 1200 CPUs
Samsung 980 pro 1 TB PCIe NVMe M.2 (2280) Internal Solid State Drive
Noctua NH-D15S chromax.black, Premium Dual-Tower CPU Cooler with NF-A15 PWM 140mm Fan (Black)
Crucial. Ballistix BL2K8G32C16U4B 3200 MHz, DDR4, DRAM, Desktop Gaming Memory Kit, 32GB (8GB x4), CL16, Black mB Core i7-11700K (3.6 GHz, 16M Cache, up to 5.00 GHz)
6 x Cooler Master MasterFan MF120 Halo ARGB LED with Controller - 120mm

However i couldnt afford a gpu and iv been using the intel onboard graphics. For work i only built pc's with quadro cards for 3d work and im woefully dumb regarding regular gpu's.
My budget it max £430 but under £400 be better, can you kind folk recommended a gpu for general computer work and 1080p gaming please as the amount of 3050, 3060 cards is staggering.. Thank you in advance.
Looking through all the cards in leaning towards the,
Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3060 Eagle OC V2 LHR 12GB GDDR6 PCI-Express Graphics Card. £379
But for no other reason than its a gigabyte gpu god only knows what the rest of it means!
And i also need advice as to if my psu is upto the task please??

Thank you

Martin

The nVidia Founders Edition cards are mostly in stock currently so I'd take a look. I'd try to push for a 3060ti if you can but on a tight budget 3060 will be fine at 1080p.

Power supply should be fine for any of the 3060/ti cards or below and for some higher models - nVidia tends to overspec the PSU requirements a bit to accommodate for people trying to run them on cheap PSUs as the Ampere cards can have quite demanding power spikes.

Eagle OC V2 LHR

LHR (Low Hash Rate) means the GPU has lower performance for calculations specific to crypto-currency mining to make it less attractive to people mining, it doesn't really affect gaming performance.

The OC denotes it is running higher clocks than the basic tier model cards (reference design) and the V2 card is running a 1807MHz boost clock versus 1777MHz on the non-V2 OC model.

I believe all the OcUK cards are the rev 2 version but it is something to watch out for as the original cards had a problem with the power connector.

EDIT: Edited for accuracy on the V2/rev 2 details.

As Rroff points out the 3060Ti FE is a good option and can be had for £369 (in stock as I'm typing this). Usefully quicker than a 3060 too. I will say, being an AMD fan, the FE cards are very nicely made. Just need to tweak the settings as the image is "different" from what I'm used to.

The Radeon 6650 is available from £379 (Sapphire Pulse which is a very good design), at 1080p it's the fastest card at that price point. The 6600 is even cheaper, although obviously slower then 6650 its much better value. However if you can get FE cards at MSRP I would look closely, 3060TI is a beast and at MSRP makes sense.
