Forgot Windows Password

I have forgotten my Windows 7 login password and did not make a password reset disk. There was only one account. There is no problem reinstalling Windows but I need some important documents on the C drive. If I connect this hard disk to another pc then will I be able to access this drive? Thanks.

Yes, as long as you didn't enable encryption. Alternatively use something like Offline NT Password & Registry Editor (bootable disc that will reset your password).

Ophcrack will find most weak passwords. http://ophcrack.sourceforge.net/

Logmeinfull can remove the password easily (if it boots.)

As already mentioned Offline NT password and reg editor can remove the password also. http://pogostick.net/~pnh/ntpasswd/bootdisk.html

ophcrack is a waste of time. Use Offline NT Password & Registry Editor or Konboot.
