Formac 160gb for my Macbook help

I have just received a 160gb formac external hdd for my mac book problem is its only recognizing 57 mb of disk space. How do go about formating the dick so it will give me the full 160gb?

Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility

Format it using HFS+ (Journaled) if you're only going to use it on a Mac.
