Format Frequency?

Original install of windows 7 still, although I must admit I'm having problems coming out of sleep.

I really hate formatting so I try to leave it until I get new major hardware component (new mb or new primary hdd) however being as poor as I am its going to be a while

i only ever format when i upgrade every few years , its a waste of time unless your to lazy to keep your comp in good working order.

you can remove dead folders , dead registry entries , defrag the registry etc and keep windows running great.

my 2 kids laptops do that aswell quite often i put it down to a bug in windows as it seems all to common
