Is it possible to format a hard drive in the bios I have an Asus m2n32-sli deluxe and am wanting to format the hardrive before installing windows. I tried installing windows without formating and it froze at a point and i restarted, now when i start the pc it freezes at the flashing cursor point :(

Not to my knowledge.

You need a tool to do it with, and that can't be done in the BIOS.

How are you formatting it and what drive is it etc etc?

I got windows to reinstall by having the cd drive as the first boot drive, from there it installed xp. Thanks for the help :D

You can delete/create/format/etc the drive or partition when installing, Windows allows you to do this
