Format is Quick in Vista

Just installed Vista 64bit OEM on my PC and I have to say that the formatting of the HDD is very fast.
XP used to take forever, is Vista doing a full format or what.

Was most likely a quick format only deleting the FAT, rather than deleting every single cluster.

Does the same thing as XP's quick format.

XP's full format checked for bad sectors, which is why it took so long.
