format prob

Not sure if this is right place, but here goes.

Ive got a m8's laptop(HP Pavilion dv2058ea) here, and it needs formattin.
Ive inserted my XP cd and booted from cd-rom, it starts loading all the stuff up, then i get to the 1st screen(setup windows xp or recovery or quit), so im pressing enter and its saying "setup didnt find any hard disk drives installed in your compuer"

What could be causing this problem, i know theres an hdd there cause i can get into windows

Might need to load the SATA Drivers, unless you use the CD that came with the laptop?

problem there, havnt got any cd-s what came with it, and i take it the sata drivers need a floppy drive cause this laptop aint got a floppy drive
is there any way around this??

IIRC you can load the drivers from a USB Stick.

And you can probably find the drivers for the particular model from the manufacturers website without to much difficulty.
