Format

Ok guys i need a little advice, I have a machine here, it is running windows XP as the operating system and XP home addation. It will not detect and of the drives I have so I cant use a cd rom and I have an ecternal hard disk which is USB 2 but I dont have a USB 2 Ports. It has 2 hard disks c + d. I would like to format the c drive, can you tel lme which is the best way to do this. Thanks

OK, you need to explain your situation better. You want to format one drive but it won't detect the drives?

Is this in Windows or the BIOS?

Do you mean it wont detect the CD's so you cannot boot from them?
As burnsy says a bit more info would be good
