Formated drive file recovery

Friend has some how deleted his partition on a secondary drive trying to extend it, then created a new partition clicking about so everything disappeared.

I know I can recover data file using Recuva, but then I loose the file structure, it's just mp3's but will be a big job to reorganise.

Can anyone recommend something else I could try?
