Can anyone recommend a decent tool for recovering data from formatted NTFS partitions?

I was sure that I backed everything up before I formatted but obviously I didn't as I have a few things missing. They're not overly important, just some game dev projects that I had for my portfolio. I don't particularly need them anymore but they're always nice to have for reference.

Any help would be much appreciated.

R-Studio NTFS. It will even find stuff manufacturer puts during fitness tests before you formatted the drive 50 times from new...

Gah. I've done a scan of C: but when I try and view "Recognized1" the progress bar gets about half way and then the app crashes. This has happened a few times now.

Any ideas?

You do realise that every moment you use that drive as your C drive your chances of getting anything deleted or previous partition off it are getting smaller and smaller as your swap and temporary files are overwriting old data sector by sector...

Yep. I'm well aware of that :)
