Formatting micro SD card to FAT 32

I've done this before, so not sure why it's doing this but I'm trying to format a micro SD that is inside my phone (I don't have a card reader).

When I right click>format, instead of bringing up the options for FAT 32/NTFS etc - it just goes ahead, asks me if I want to format and then formats.

Any ideas please

Is it connected by mass storage?

Is it formatting to the correct format?

Either way, you should always format memory cards using the device's built in formatting option.

Command Prompt > Type "format drive_letter: /fs:fat32" > hit enter > BOOM! done.

Different phones use different formats - hence they give you no option.

Should really be using exFAT for sd cards in a pc.
