Formatting promlem

Hi folks,

I'm currently trying to format my computer by booting from my windows xp cd, however during the boot process the computer doesn't seem to respond to button presses on the keyboard. So when the prompt comes on-screen to press any key to boot from the cd, the computer ignores my button press and continues to boot into windows.

Anyone got any clues to point me in the right direction to fix the problem?

I have this issue with my Microsoft USB keyboard. Plug in a spare PS2 keyboard I have and it's fine. :rolleyes:

are you using a usb keyboard by any chance?

ahh yes I am, i didnt realise that would have a factor. Ill give it another go with a ps2 and see how i go on.

Check your BIOS. There might be an enable USB keyboard support option.
