Formatting Software

hi guys, am looking for a piece of software which i can put onto a disk and then boot from it in order to allow me to format my hard drives.

any help appreciated

I admit this wont work if they are SATA drives. Most modern motherboards do have format utilties built into the controller BIOS though.
