formatting windows to use windows 2000 help please?

hi all

ive just downloaded windows 2000 and burnt it to a dvd.
i need to put this windows 2000 operating system on my bros computer because it wont run xp propperly its an amasingly old computer

just wondering if some1 can tell me in which way do i burn windows 2000 to a dvd disk so that at bootup i can install windows 2000 on to this old computer please.

ive tryed burning windows 2000 using nero to a dvd using the iso format but it wont run it at startup any help on this please thx

Windows 2000 came on a CD, not a DVD. That might make a difference.

Also, check that your optical drive comes first in the Boot Order section of your BIOS.

Burn it to a CD. If the ISO is like 700mg in size then it should be burned to CD. Also make sure that you have specified in BIOS the correct boot sequence, ie CD-rom before hard drive.
